How can I let callers leave a voicemail?

You can either configure your call-routing number to be in voicemail-only mode or let callers leave voicemail if no one is available.

There are two ways to let callers leave a voicemail:

  1. Voicemail-only mode: when this is enabled, all calls will be redirected to voicemail and iLert will create an alert with the voicemail attached and escalate it to the users of the escalation policy. See here for information on how to setup voicemail only mode.
  2. Let callers leave voicemail if no one in the escalation policy is available: If this option is enabled, the caller will be redirected to the voicemail if no one in the escalation policy was available to pickup the call.
